W. H. KOON was born in Crittenden County, Ky., July 22, 1849. His father, Heuson Koon, was a native of Virginia, born January 4, 1819, and came to Kentucky when about six years old; his mother, Margaret (Glenn) Koon, was a native of Kentucky. W. H. Koon has spent his life in farming on the place where he now lives. He speculates in live stock, and owns one of the finest farms in this region, consisting of 320 acres. He was married, November 12, 1873, to Fannie A. Jackson, who was born March 5, 1853. She has borne four children: Collin H., born November 8, 1874; Sarah J., born November 14, 1876; Ida B., June 7, 1878; John J., March 25, 1880. Mr. Koon is a member of the Baptist Church, of the K. of H., and of the Democratic party.
