She was the daughter of Sir Henry Kigley, a knight of Inchipp, County Lancashire. Richard was a Captain in the Royal Army, and is buried in the North Isle of the Minister at Canterbury. His heir was William Travers.

She was the daughter of Thomas Radcliff of Clitheroe, County Lancashire. She was kin to William Booth, Archbishop of York. Robert died about 1480 and is buried in Calais, France.

He was living during the 21st year of Henry VI on March 25, 1443. He married Margaret Brockholes, daughter of John Brockholes of Brockholes, County Lancashire. They were married in the 4th year of Henry IV (1402-1403). Their son was Laurence Travers.
