Dora Frances Eatherly

There are two versions of the name Etherly/Eatherly. I have not been able to locate any data on her or her Father W.E. Eatherly. He was supposedly a Doctor in Bowling Green or someother Kentucky clime. There is supposed to be some descendants of her brothers in Paris, Lamar County Texas. Based on this,most likely she and Grandpa Van were in Texas because of this relationship. Dora Frances was born in Kentucky. Her mother was from there and her father was from Tennessee. Dora was probably born when her mother was visiting the family home. As of 1996 she has not been located on any Federal Census as an Etherly.

Dora married William Frederick VanHooser 3 Jan 1883, Wilson County, Tennessee. William (son of Isaac Jackson VanHooser and Nancy E. Thompson) was born 25 Nov 1854, Wilson County, Tennessee; died 20 Sep 1942, Amarillo, Potter County, Texas; was buried , Riverside Cemetery, Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas. [Group Sheet]

1. Minnie Lee VanHooser was born 6 Dec 1883; died 28 Sep 1889, Sylvan, Lamar County, Texas.
2. Samuel Franklin VanHooser was born 18 Oct 1888, Paris, Lamar County, Texas; died 18 Apr 1949, Panhandle, Potter County, Texas.
3. Elizabeth VanHooser was born 20 Nov 1891, Paris, Lamar County, Texas; died 19 Nov 1911, Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas.
4. Martha VanHooser was born 26 Jul 1895, Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas; died 22 Jul 1975, Long Beach, California.
