  Broderbund WFT Vol. 5, Ed. 1, Tree #3683, Date of Import: 3 May 1997 Francis Hardick, when a boy, had run away from Liverpool, England, and shipped on a freighting vessel that had sailed for America. After landing in Manhattan, NY., he made his way to the "Landing" where he obtained employment from Mynheer van Hussum. Later on, he married the boss's daughter. They settled on the land given them by Juriaen January 7, 1704. Lt Hendrick's company was Lt Hendrick, 2nd Lt. Francis Hardick, Jr. and an ensign
