- [Broderbund WFT Vol. 7, Ed. 1, Tree #0129, Date of Import: 25 Jul, 1998] Rezin (Reason, Reson) Fryer is found in the 1820, 30, 40 and 50 Caldwell Co. KY census. In 1820, there is one male and one female listed in the 16-26? age group. There are 3 females in the under 10, and 1 male in the under 10. Also 1 male slave under 14, and 1 female slave under 14. In 1830, there is 1 male & 1 female under 5, 1 male & 1 female 5-9, 2 females 10-14, 1 female 15-19, 1 male 20-24, and 1 male & 1 female 30-39?. There are 4 male slaves under 10, and 1 male & 1 female 10-24. In 1840, there is 1 male & 1 female 5-9, 1 male 10-14, 1 male & 1 female 15-19, 1 male 20-29, and 1 male & 1 female 50-59. There are 3 male & 1 female slaves 0-5, 4 male & 1 female 6-10, and 1 male & 1 female 11-15. 8 persons are involved in agriculture. In 1850, Rezin is listed as age 63 and a farmer (value of real estate owned $1,000). With him are Richard H. age 22, farmer, Wayman R. age 20, farmer, and Elizabeth D. A. age 16. In the Caldwell County, Kentucky Court Order book, in 1829, Rezin Fryer posted bond for a William Roberts in a bastardy suit filed by Miss Teresa Stephens. Aug. term 1829 p. 22 Miss Stephens charge of bastardy against William Roberts next term - whereupon Mr. Roberts together with Rezin Frier and Coleman Brown came forward and acknowledged themselves to be held & firmly bound unto the COmmonwealth of KY in the following sums: Roberts 20 pounds and said Frier and Brown each in the sum of 10 pounds to be ?? of their respective goods and chattels, lands and tenements. p. 26 Miss Teresa Stephens vs Willima Roberts defendant - charge of bastardy p. 29 Roberts is the father of the bastard child - pay for the keeping and maintaining for the term of 6 years from this date $90 half yearly, $7.50 each 1/2 year & costs. Said Roberts give bond & security for the payment of the ?? and thereupon this Roberts together with A. W. Smith, James Smith, James H. Roberts, & Rezin Fryer his securities entered into and acknowledged a bond payable to the Commonweal of KY the penalty of $200 for the payments as above required.
