Witnesseth that the said George Perkins for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars to him in hand paid before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof doth hereby acknowledge himself therewith fully satisfied contented & paid doth give grant bargain sell convey and confirm unto the said Valintine Vanhooser his heirs and assigns foreverforever a certain tract of land lying and being in the county aforesaid on the south fork of Cobbs Creek waters of Watauga River Beginning at a white oak a little branch running east one hundred poles crossing a branch to a red oak, then south one hundred sixty poles crossing a branch to a white oak there then east one hundred poles to a stake then north one hundred sixty poles to the beginning containing one hundred acres of land be the same more or less conveyed by John Pevehouse to George Perkins. Together with all the rights privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging to have and to hold the said bargained premises unto the said Valintine Vanhooser his heirs executors and administrators & assigns forever with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging to the said George Perkins for myself my heirs executors & Administrators & assigns do by these presents forever warrant and defend the above named tract of land as above described unto the said Valintine Vanhooser from the claim of any person whatsoever as a free estate in fee simple in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and date above written.
