Mrs. Ida May (Kemp) Roberts was born September 12, 1861 in Crittenden County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Martin Kemp and Mary Caroline (Vinson) Kemp. She married John Nelson Roberts December 22, 1882 in Crittenden County, Kentucky. They were the parents of six children: John Elmer Roberts, born January 17, 1884; Vienna Alice Roberts, born January 27, 1885; Elva Ross Roberts, born September 24, 1886; Elbert Owen Roberts, born October 8, 1890; Hugh Roberts, born August 6, 1892; Albert Lewen Roberts, born August 4, 1896.
In December of 1901 John Nelson Roberts and Ida May (Kemp) Roberts moved from the Iron Hill (Deanwood) neighborhood of Crittenden County to the Repton neighborhood of Crittenden County. John Nelson Roberts died June 6, 1909 and is buried in Repton Cemetery. Ida May (Kemp) Roberts died March 17, 1924 in Tallahassee, Florida and is buried in Oakman Cemetery, Oakman, Oklahoma.
